Program Overview


Neighborhood Stabilization Program is a program providing funds to be used for down payment and closing cost assistance for qualified buyers purchasing foreclosed property, HUD or Bank owned, for owner occupied use. Short Sales do not qualify. depending on the agency distributing funds, location may be limited


Who is eligible for this program?


Income limit is 120% of area median income for household size as defined by Hud Borrower must complete 8 hours of homeownership education

Maximum % of Sales Price: 20%

Property Eligibility Requirements


Property location in the state of Missouri specified by distributing agency

The sales price cannot exceed $ $258,690 for a single family dwelling.

Allowable property types: single family, condo, townhome, one unit of duplex


Benefit Details


Assistance is 20% of purchase price up to $14,999

Benefit: Borrower may also qualify for the $8000 federal tax credit.
