Program Overview

Home Weatherization Program is a program designed to help homeowners and renters update their homes to be more energy-efficient. The program is available in Jackson, Clay and Platte counties in Missouri.

Who is eligible for this program?

Owner or renter must meet income guidelines. If you rent, landlords must contribute 50% of the cost, with no cost to the renter. For this program, 125% of federal poverty guidelines apply. Program services include: caulking and weather stripping, systems and furnace repair, replacement and/or cleaning. Is this program for first time buyers only? No

Benefit: Full reimbursement grant for energy-saving upgrades for homeowners and renters. Owner Occupancy Required: 0 Other Program Comments: Essential paperwork includes copies of all utility bills (gas, light, and water), proof of income, and proof of homeownership (a recorded Missouri warranty deed or deed of trust). If you rent, landlords must contribute 50% of the cost, with no cost to the renter.
