Program Overview


Johnson County ADDI Program is a program that provides up to $10,000 down payment and/or closing cost assistance for first-time home buyers. This program is available in Johnson County in Kansas.


Who is eligible for this program?


The homebuyer must live in the residence for 5 years, and cannot exceed certain income limits. Buyer must contribute at least 1% of the purchase price or $500 of their own money in the purchase transaction. Buyer must qualify for a fixed-rate mortgage loan (15 - 30 year term). Houshold income can not exceed 80% of Area Median Income.

The forgivable loan is to be used toward down payment and approved closing costs.

HUD Median Income Limits: 80%

Property must be located in Johnson County in Kansas.

The sales price cannot exceed $ 204,250.

Allowable property types: Single family residence, manufactured homes on permanent foundation, condo, town home, or one unit of a duplex.


Benefit Details


This program provides assistance to the buyer of an amount of 6% of purchase price up to $10,000 assistance.

Benefit: Down payment and closing cost assistance in the form of a forgivable loan. The loan is forgiven 20% each year and is retired after 5 years of occupancy.
